In February 2005, on one very cold Saturday afternoon, my husband (at the time, boyfriend) and I started looking at jewelry stores for wedding rings. By late that afternoon, we were getting tired. You see, I didn't want just any ring -- I wanted a sapphire ring that would be uniquely mine. By the third store I found something to work with, but it wasn't "the ring." The last stop was to go to Maertens, which a good friend of ours had recommended. As we arrived, we realized they had closed. But fate was on our side, as upon seeing us, they opened back up and let us in.

The rest, as they say, is history. Jamie listened to my thoughts on what we wanted, and helped us craft a very unique wedding ring set, which my husband and I both love! I have a beautiful sapphire with diamonds engagement ring, a diamond wedding band, and a second wedding band to match my husband's. I get constant compliments on the set, and am just so pleased Maertens took the time to work with us for something breathtaking, original and everlasting!

I just wanted to write and thank you and everyone at Maertens Fine Jewelry & Gifts. When I started my engagement ring search nearly 2 years ago, a friend gave me your name and phone number and it was definitely one of my luckier days. I called you and then made the drive down to Solomons and I’ve never looked back. You made the ring search relaxing and so much fun. I gave another jeweler much closer to my home a look (I felt obligated to), but he really never had a chance. After seeing the selection of rings you had and the prices you were offering, I was excited to be working with you. I loved the ring and diamond I chose and couldn’t wait to get it and propose. Andrea, now my wife of almost a year, loves the ring and still often finds herself gazing at it. She is also often stopped by friends and family who want to gaze at it as well. After getting engaged, we both came to your store for our wedding bands, and again our experience was wonderful. We both enjoyed and looked forward to going to your store. I remember visiting a few times and having her engagement ring cleaned each visit and each time it seemed to get prettier and prettier. The whole experience was a beautiful part of our engagement and marriage process and we’ll always treasure it. And if we’re ever in the neighborhood, we’ll always make a point of stopping by to see our friends and get that complimentary professional cleaning.
